Laughter-- Bill, I had that kid three years ago, hence the "old" geeky picture. :) He and his five year old sister are a handful, but they rock. Thanks for the compliments as usual (blushing)...I'm percolating on your homework and grading policies as well and will post something soon.

Great to hear from you again, Jim, and again an absolute pleasure to meet you.

Your reflections were awesome, Dina! Straightforward and to the point! Just the way we like it here in N'Awlins!

Your final personal thoughts on New Orleans were so on target. As I shared during our interview, there is still a great deal of suffering going on here, most of it internal at this point, and still a ways to go as we re-build our lives down here. On behalf of all of those in the New Orleans metropolitan area, I'd like to thank you and the ASCD for sharing yourselves with us. Your contributions and your presence here meant so much more to us than you know!

You are truly a gifted writer. In so many of your blogs, it sounded you like you captured the true essence of what the presenters were trying to emphasize. I appreciate (as I'm sure we all do) your honesty in assessing those sessions that didn't quite meet expectations.

I'll be happy to stay in contact with your friend. Levees.org is another good resource.

Stay safe, be well, and best of everything in all you do!

Hey Dina,

Loved the picture! Gives me a face to pair with your posts. Very cool.

And congrats on the coming of your child! I'm jealous.

And I didn't miss the irony in the "misplaced technology" quote in your post! Coming from a remarkable blogger who wrestles with ideas as a part of a wider community---and whose posts challenge my thinking regularly---that made me chuckle.
