A first grader asked me today if I had shown his mom something. It took us a bit for me to understand that he meant at Back to School Night, several weeks ago. I said I didn’t remember but I was looking forward to meeting with his mom at conferences soon and talk with her about all the great stuff he’s been doing. He got a horrified look on his face and said, “Awkward.”
